This is a reminder for the club golf classic on Friday the 5th of September at Westmanstown Golf Club. 

This fundraiser is dedicated to raising funds toward the costs of our new 'clubhouse', which we are expecting to be completed by March 26'. 
The project cost is about €400,000. 
We are at the final stages and hope to have the planning application lodged in the next two weeks. 

As outlined at the last executive meeting, we are short by €65,000 to complete the building. 
We have sports capital funds of €185,000, a gaa loan of €100,000, and club funds of €55,000, which leaves the shortfall.

In this context, we need to push all fundraising options. We are already advancing very well with the pitch-side hoardings drive and expect to make €10k from this item this year. 

The next option is the golf classic, where teams cost €350 for a team of 4 players, including golf and post round meals on the 5th of September. 
We are grateful to Janet & John Mitten from Capital Glass who are sponsoring the prizes. We expect to make a further €7500 from this venture. 

This can be achieved if each team in our club will provide at least one golf team(€350) & two tee box sponsorship @ €100 each. I will circulate the golf classic leaflets shortly. 

This event is particularly important this year to help us make up the shortfall for the clubhouse. 
It is not just aimed at golfers but if every club member seek out a business, companies, individuals, etc to support us it will be a success.

A seperate information and fundraising drive will be launched in September to address the outstanding funds. 

I am asking section heads, team managers etc to push this event. Contact details etc will included in tbe classic leaflet.
